Major Enhancements On Board 2022 Chevrolet Silverado

2022 Chevrolet Silverado

For 2022, the Chevrolet Silverado boasts a redesign, tech enhancements, and a new off-roading variant.

“The addition of the all-new Silverado ZR2, Chevy’s flagship off-road truck, builds on an already strong portfolio of factory-lifted pickups from Chevrolet that are bringing in new buyers,” said Kelly MacDonald, director, Chevrolet Truck Marketing.

Chevrolet Silverado ZR2

The new ZR2 trim uses a standard 6.2-liter V8 engine paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission. The powertrain generates 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. Off-road ready-specific features include Multimatic 40mm DSSV spool-valve dampers, 33-inch off-road MT tires, unique skid plate package, and front and rear e-lockers. It even features a bumper with end caps you can remove so you can prevent damage while climbing over rocks or other harsh obstacles in the wild.

Innovative tech

The 2022 Chevrolet Silverado will feature available Super Cruise™ with trailering technology on the High Country trim. Under proper conditions, this tech allows you to continue on your journey hands-free on approximately 200,000 compatible roads.

Refined power

The 2.7-liter Turbo High-Output engine, the standard option for the 2022 Silverado, has undergone a makeover to produce more torque. Its new rating bests the ratings of every base engine in its class, according to Chevrolet.

Spring Vehicle Maintenance Tips

spring vehicle maintenance

Punxsutawney didn’t see his shadow on Groundhog Day, which means spring is coming early. Transition your Chevrolet or Cadillac from the cold winter weather with these easy spring vehicle maintenance tasks.

Oil and fluids

Doing an oil change at least twice a year is necessary in optimizing your car’s future performance. The end of winter is a perfect time for the first one, as the cold temperatures take its toll on your engine. Check your other fluids — including the coolant and brake fluid — to see if they are at the right level.

Whether you use winter wiper blades or your current pair is worn, replace them and refill your washer fluid. Spring is the rainiest season of the year, and fresh blades will improve your visibility.

Inspect your tires for damage, leaks, cracks, and low tread. Spring rain creates slippery roads, so you need the best traction from your tires. If you use winter tires, switch them out for your all-season tires. The soft rubber on your car’s winter tires doesn’t play well with warmer weather.

Check your car’s lights, including the headlights, taillights, turn signals, and fog lights. Replace any burnt-out bulbs.

If you do not have the time or need assistance with your vehicle, schedule a service appointment at Quirk Chevrolet Cadillac of Bangor.
